Lifestyle Family Session

Being allowed into your inner circle for a short amount of time is a huge privilege for me, one I don't take lightly. Having my own family means I truly understand the longing to freeze time for a moment and keep your little ones forever in a portrait you can touch. A lifestyle photography session with me will be light and easy, and you'll walk away with memories you maybe didn't even know were there. I focus on the details between you and your loved ones, the candid moments that make your family who they are. I take my time getting to know your kids so they in turn want to show me who they are inside. Family + newborn photography is a passion of mine and I hope to create beautiful and meaningful images with you.

Sessions can be at any outdoor location of your choice in Vancouver and most surrounding areas, but I also love photographing in your home which creates such a warm and intimate feeling in your images. I will always suggest home as a rainy day back up.

Newborn photography can take place at any time momma feels ready to have me in her space, but the best time is within the first 10 days after baby is born, to capture the true squishy, snuggly and sleepy stage of having a brand new baby. I suggest booking your newborn session around your due date, and I am always happy to secure the final date after baby is born.

I always take the season and time of day into consideration when making suggestions for outdoor locations. Morning or evening when sunlight is soft is always my preference, light is my ace in the hole when photographing you and your family. I try not to book any sessions mid-day to avoid the harsh light - but of course I know every family has to work with their own schedule, so I will always do my best to suggest places and dates that will get you an end result of the best images.

My approach to family photography is non-intrusive, I like to step back and let things unravel in front of me. If you or anyone in the session feels nervous or uncomfortable in front of the camera, I can absolutely help with body positioning and movement to create ease in the photo. While I try not to 'pose' any of my photos, I will always do my best to get a beautiful family portrait in every session.
