These two smarty pants tied the knot in the most creative and fun way, I was so honored to be a part it all. Tariq + Nirupa said 'I Do' at Science World here in Vancouver, BC at the base of the dome overlooking the beautiful waters of false creek. It was such a colorful and bright celebration, the excitement and joy of the day could be felt vibrating through everyone in the room. Nirupa wore an incredible red and beaded wedding dress, adorned with gold jewellery throughout her hair and over her hands, and their friends and family sat in the glowing sunshine as Tariq draped a ceremonial scarf over his new bride. When listening to family give speeches about these two it became very clear that Nirpua + Tariq are far more brilliant in their careers than most, and of course it made sense that at each seat the guests received a science beaker to hold their cocktails and beer. But the best detail from this wedding - and probably from any wedding I've ever had the pleasure to photograph - was that instead of a first dance, they had a lip sync battle!! It was epic to the least. These two pulled out all the stops for their big day, and I am so glad I got to be a part of it.
