I feel so lucky to have captured this day. Riley and James are basically the best humans I've ever met, they were kind, laid back, considerate, go-with-the-flow kind of people and it made the day one of the funnest wedding's I've had the pleasure of capturing. They were thrown a few curve balls in thier planning, the biggest one was when thier original venue sold to new ownership and thier wedding date was canceled. They quickly set out for a new spot that would be perfect for them, and found the Stanley Park Pavillion, here in Vancouver. Little did they know the entire structure would be under construction for thier date, but you know what, it actually just made everything more memorable. I snapped a photo of them in front of the scaffolding and it turned out to be one of the favorite images from the day. Because really and truly, wedding's aren't about the venue, the flowers, the favors or the his + hers cocktails - those things are nice, for sure, but at the heart of it all is the person standing next to you. James + Riley, you threw one heck of a party, but it was the way you looked at each other, held hands and brushed cheeks all night that gave me all the feels.
